I've just installed the latest criticle updates from windows update. After
rebooting my computer it failed to autologon. It gave me a message stating
the password is incorrect and I have to click an ok box then click on my
icon on the logon screen. What I did notice was that when it gave me a
message i could see my user name and also 2 digits on the password field. My
account doesn't have a password so I think thats what the problem is. I've
disabled auto-logon and now I just click my logon icon and everythings ok.
It doesn't prompt me for a password either.
What do I have to do to reset the password details so it doesn't try and
enter a password when I enable auto-logon? It's not a case of the password
being typed incorrectly because, like I've said, my user account doesnt have
a password. I've considered creating a password for my account but am
concerned that it may lock me out of my pc if the same problem thats causing
a password to be entered when it shouldn't alters my new password in some
way.
Thanks
