Autodisconnect value going back to default value after reboot!!!!

We have a novell network with W2K sp3/sp4 workstations. To eliminate the "red
x" syndrome on the mapped drives, I am changing the autodisconnect value to
"ffffffff" as per
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;297684. ; My problem
is that if user logs off or reboots the pc, this value goes back to default
value of "f" or 15 minutes. Does anyone know why the value I am putting is
not being kept? Thanks in advance!

Are you using guest accounts or mandatory profiles?

No, we do not use guest accounts or mandatory profiles. We are on a Novell
network. I am thinking that maybe a novell policy is causing the issue but
after verifying the policies, there are none I see related to my problem.
Thanks for the reply!
