Autocorrect lost

I’ve searched through previous posts, but can’t find this. My hard disk
crashed recently, so IT rebuilt my PC with a new one. Fortunately, most of
the data on the old disk is recoverable – I have it attached as a slave for
now. But for some reason, the normal.dot (where I assume my VAST list of
autocorrect entries are stored – I’m a VERY bad typist) on the old disk, in
C:\Documents and Settings\rogerf\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates is only
36KB, and importing it doesn’t restore my autocorrect entries. For a typist
as bad as me, having to ket them all in again is a nightmare.

Am I missing something?

Thanks a lot
Roger

Yes! Yes! YES! you have just ended about two hours of fruitless work and
frustration. The registry entries don't exist on my machine, and the file
locations also, but it was obvious from the article how to find the
appropriate files and import them.

Thank you SO much.
