Autocomplete not functioning...

I also posted this under "General".

After reinstalling XP and installing all applicable
service packs and patches, autocomplete does not function
in IE. I am posting this under XP because I am also
having problems with the remember password option in the
POP3 setup in Outlook so I think this is a general XP
issue rather than being isolated to IE.

Here is what I have tried:

1. Verified autocomplete settings in IE GUI.
2. Verified auyocomplete settings in registry.
3. Disabled and reenabled settings.
4. Ran all steps outlined in KB # 306895.

The only step that resolved the issue was creating a new
user. The KB article referenced above suggests copying
the profile from the new user to the existing user if
this resolved the problem. However, I do not want to
lose the other settings the current account has.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.
