In the old porgram I could set up words or phrases that when started would
automoatically finish....like altho....would automiatically populate
'although'. A title, 'System Director, Emergency .....would automatically
finish the rest of the title...System Director, Emergency SErvices and
Disaster Management'

The auto test command in this program is not the same. you have to clic
on the icon and click on a word that will them be added to the document.

If you're using AutoText, type the shortcut and press F3. (The AutoComplete
tooltip that displayed in previous versions isn't available in Word 2007.)

However, it sounds like what you were using in the previous version was
AutoCorrect, not AutoText. That is still available and unchanged in Word 2007;
the only thing that has changed is how you get to the dialog where you set it
up. Go to Office button > Word Options > Proofing and click the AutoCorrect
Options button.
