Is there a way to save a series of Auto Text entries as a
template, download the template to a disk for
transporting, then upload onto other computers running
Windows XP?

Yes.

Autotexts are always part stored in a template. If you know which template
you used to save them, just carry that one. If you don't know chances are
that they are all in Normal.dot. If they come from many templates, or
Normal.dot, create a template, then use the organizer to transfer all the
autotexts to that new template and carry that new template to a new
computer.

Yes. See <URL: http://addbalance.com/word/movetotemplate.htm> for
step-by-step instructions on moving / sharing / copying customizations
including AutoText, AutoCorrect, keyboard assignments, macros, etc.
