Auto Run types of content

I want installation CDs to "autoplay" in Drives O and P but not in Q and R.
When I go to Drive Letter Autoplay the TYPE of content does not include
installtion CDs (setup.exe). Music files, music CD, videos, pictures, mixed
content, etc., but nothing similar to autorun for setting up a program.

How do I differentiate among the drives?

Thanks in advance.

Install cd's autoplay is controled on the cd itself. A file on the cd called
autorun.inf gets read and when xp sees it the file runs and starts the
autorun. If the autorun.inf file is on the cd, there's no way to stop it
from installing, except hold the left shift key down when you insert the cd.

Sorry, you didn't understand the question.

Naturally, I can turn off autoplay, regardless of what's on the CD.
Right?

What I'm trying to do is turn it off selectively. I have many virtual
CD drives.

"Help" says to deal with each drive letter separately. But among the
types of content, "setup.exe" (install program) is not one of them.

The relevant type is 'mixed content'; that should be set to 'open in
explorer' if you want auto-run to work (explorer is what actually
triggers that). Note that this should be on for a burner if you want
the inbuilt CD burning system to work properly
