auto hide remains hidden

Hello,

I have a client that is having an issue with her taskbar. It seems that
when it auto hides she cannot bring it back up until the machine is rebooted.
The only way to keep it there is to hold the cursor on it right after boot,
otherwise it disappears and will not come back by putting the mouse cursor
over it until the machine is rebooted.

What would cause this and how can I fix it?

Is she using Full Screen, (F-11)? If so, WYSIWYG.

Like Mr. Hagen said, try pressing F11 and see what happens. If your
friend presses F11 it is possible to make the Task Bar hide until F11
is pressed again, even if you mouse to the bottom of the screen.

I don't see the value in the extra .5" of space. This is a female,
right?
