Auto-format previously entered phone numbers

Hello -
I have many different formats for phone numbers in my contacts, depending
upon how I acquired/entered each one. I would like to get all of them in a
uniform format so that they are more organized and easier to sort. Right now
some of them are:
(xxx) xxx-xxxx
xxxxxxxxxx
xxx.xxx.xxxx
xxx xxx xxxx
+1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx
+1 xxx xxx xxxx
I would like to find an easy way to change all of the phone numbers to the
same format and also make it so any new contacts would automatically take on
the same format. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get this done without
too much manual input?
Thanks!
Kim

Ok...I've tried the OutNormalizer, but it does not re-format all numbers to
be the same. It will only get rid of spaces in numbers.
The cnet download is only for Russian phone numbers, and the slipstick.com
link had 3 choices (OutlookNormalizer, The BIG Number (for British phone
numbers), and Phone Number Changer (appears to be script files, but I have no
idea what to do with them).
Can anyone help me solve this formatting issue? It seems that there has got
to be a much simpler way to do this, no?
Thanks,
Kim

The outlooknormalizer should do it.

Try The Big number - its supposed to support formatting changes (which is
why its still available long after the big change).

FWIW, I learned a long time ago to ignore the differences- people send me
contacts and they are formatted differently. It was not worth the effort to
pretty them up.

You'll need a third-party tool. This one might help:
http://download.cnet.com/Microsoft-Outlook-Phone-Number-Converter/3000-18483_4-10753400.html
