auto correct word ending with apostrophe

How can I make auto correct, eg "pf" convert to "plaintiff", work with an
apostrophe, so that when I type "pf's" it will correct it to "plaintiff's".
One copy of MS word does this, but the copy on my other computer does not!!!

You can add "plaintiff’s" as an AutoCorrect entry:

Type plaintiff’s and select it.
Select Tools > AutoCorrect Options > AutoCorrect tab.
In the "Replace" field, type "pf'’s".
In the "With" field, type "plaintiff’s".
Click OK.

Since AutoCorrect is supposed to fire when you type a space or punctuation,
and since an apostrophe is punctuation, this should be working. Because Word
is also autoformatting the straight apostrophe to a curly one, however, that
may cause some confusion, especially on a slower machine.
