Auto Complete for certain sites

I have just bought a new computer and I am setting up all my websites that
have user/passwords. There is one site that I use alot on my old computer
that has the password saved. When I sign in to this same site on my new
computer, the autocomplete box does not come up asking me if I want to save
this password. For some reason it is saved on my old computer though. Since I
used this site frequently on my old computer, did IE6 start saving the
password automatically after a certain amount of times logging in? Why can't
IE6 save the password on my new computer? ill it be saved after a several
logins? Thanks, Mikele

Hi,
I don't think that IE will eventually ask if you want that password saved.

Two suggestions...
Download and run Protected Storage PassView from
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/pspv.html If any login information is shown for
that site, delete it. Then delete any cookies related to that site.

Plan B... Clear all stored passwords. See if IE offers to save the password
on the next visit.

Hope this helps,
Don

Hi Mikele,
As you did move from Old Computer to a new one, the IE on the New Computer
you need to set up to function according to your needs.
To do what you want you need to go to IE Properties by:
Right Click your IE icon on your Desktop, then select Properties from the
Sun-Menu.
On the IE Properties Window Click on Content Tab and Click on the Button
Labled Auto Complete.
In there you will find Header Titled:
Use Auto Complete For
[ ] Web Addresses
[ ] User password
[ ] Forms

[Clear Forms] [Clear Passwords]
you select which suite you if you would like IE to remember the Web Address
Tick the Square in front of it, the same with forms and passwords.
When you finished Click OK and Close the IE Window.
Hope this helps
