Auto Backup?

hi sir and mdm,

I have a labtop and a destop.

i mostly do my works on the labtop and the labtop is not
that stable.. sometime i wish i could do things in my
destop too but the files tht i needed are not in the
destop..

i am seeking for a program from outsiders or a microsoft
program that can help me in anyway to connect my labtop
to my destop and auto copy all files i did/edit/add into
my destop from my labtop

so exp if i do my works on the labtop in the morning then
when i gone home in the night i plugin the cable
(usb, series, ethernet) and open the program, the destop
will be updated with the latest file.

is there any pogram or way that i can do this? please
reply ASAP or e-mail me (e-mail address removed)

thanks a lot

Take a look at the offline folders option in XP. Use your desktop as the
server--the place where your files are stored. Enable offline files on that
machine from the sharing tab for your folder. Then using folder options on
the laptop, turn on offline files. You'll work on a server copy when at
home. When at work, you'll work with a local copy. They will synch when
you log on at home again.

Your PCs will need to be networked to do this.

To change offline file access for shared folders
1.
Open My Computer

2.
Right-click a folder or drive that you have shared on
the network, and then click Sharing.

3.
Click Caching.

4.
Make sure that the Allow caching of files in this shared
folder check box is selected.

i cannot find step number 3) click caching.. i cannot
find caching.. what i have is something like this
