Auto Alert/Notification for folders other than Inbox

I am using Outlook 2003. I currently have my Inbox set to display the small
translucent pop-up window in the lower right-hand corner of the screen when a
new message arrives in my Inbox. The pop-up window displays the "envelope"
information like date, time, person sending the message, and the subject. Is
there a way that I can turn this feature on for other folders? For example,
by establishing a rule, I have my manager's e-mails directed to a dedicated
folder so that I can view these items independent of the hundred-or-so other
messages I receive each day. I would like the window to notify me when my
manager sends something, but I am unable to determine if sub-folders can be
set up with this notification option. Help!!

you can set up a rule that includes the option to display a Desktop alert
(last in rule list).

Thank you SO MUCH! You have no idea how much you have MADE MY DAY! And the
day for several of my colleagues who also wanted this feature. I kept
looking at the rules, but I did not go to the second screen--so I did not see
the option. Thanks again!
