I am trying to connect from xp pro box to win2k server by entering
\\win2kserver in the run box. It prompts me for credentials because the
credential of logged on user is not the same as that of the local user on
win2kserver. I enter the local win2kserver credentials. Subsequently, when
I enter \\win2server during the same session I am not prompted for
credentials. When I log off and log back in and enter \\win2kserver, I am
prompted for credentials again.

Now if along with credentials I clicked remember password, I would not have
to enter credentials again.

My question is .... How do I change the credentials now?

Thanks

How did you get the option to remember the password?
This option should not be available for the Windows logon you
describe here.
There is such an option in Internet Explorer when visiting a
password protected website.
For Internet Explorer to clear passwords:
Tools>Internet Options>Content>Auto complete>Clear Passwords
