Authentication Methods unavailable error message when publishing

My LAN administrator is rather inexperienced. What can I
tell them which would help them fix an "authentication
methods unavailable" error message which happens when I
publish the website.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Mike

Please check the authentication method in the webserver
1, In iis, right click on the site in question
2. Properties-> security and check the authentication method
3. You should atleast have the basic and anonymous acces enabled
