Audit policies on Default domain controller policy

Hi,
I have problem with modifying default domain controller policy.This
happens only for audit polices other settings are ok.The policy resets
automatically to original value after refresh.Please help.

Make sue that you are in fact configuring Domain Controller Security Policy
and not Local Security Policy on a domain controller. Also check the domain
controller container to see if there are GPOs other then the default one
linked to it because if there is and it is above the default one in the list
it will take precedence over it for defined settings. You can use gpresult
to see what Group Polices are applied for computer configuration for a
domain controller. If problems persist I would run the support tools
netdiag, dcdiag, and gpotool on your domain controllers to see if there are
any configuration problems that could result in replication problems. Also
be sure to check the logs via Event Viewer on the domain controllers to see
if there are any pertinent problems recorded as errors/warnings. -- Steve
