Audit Log

Hi,

I used Allen's Audit Log codes and I am having trouble making it work. But
I am wondering if it's because I did not set up network users. My boss does
not want me to set up passwords because the share drive already has access
previlleges already so it doesn't really needs to have to set up group user's
permission. So there is simply no lock or password that identify who is
logged on. I however have an "input by" field in my form that the users use
a combo box to select from. I am wondering if that could be a problem factor
where I don't have users' group network setup so that access can't tell who
is logged on.

Douglas,

I don't need any other programming then just copying and pasting the code
into a new module? So, I will not need to touch anything in my form right?

Actually, I just took a look at Allen's code, and he's already got that code
in it (the function named NetworkUserName)

What's the exact problem you're having?

Hi Douglas,

If I have the Audit Log set up when I append data to my table will that
affect it or will it generate copies of it in my log? I know I created the
log in my form just wondering if it will affect it if I append data. I am
not completely done with my design so I will have to wait on the audit log
part until I have everything completed. Thanks for your response:)

And Allen Brown, if you are reading this, thanks for all the things you
posted on the web and sharing so much in the development community.

I'm sorry: I don't understand your question. Will what affect what if you
append the data?
