Audio won't record

I can't record audio anymore. When open sound in the control panel, the
recording tab has SigmaTel High Definition Audio CODEC currently not
available under Microphone and Line In. The Rear Mic has SigmaTel High
Definition Audio CODEC working under it. I have tried uninstalling the driver
and installing the one for my computer from Gateway. The speakers work fine.
I have a Gateway GT5404 with Vista Home Premium. I appreciate any help anyone
can give me. Thanks!

Get the latest version directly from SigmaTel and install it. Have you
installed SP1?
