You are either listening to Fantasia, have installed a Disney motherboard or
have a mouse stuck in the computer case. Either way, it's a job for a
professional.

Just trying to be helpful.

That's OK - it was the reply your question deserved.
No detail - name of motherboard, audio card, drivers, DirectX version, what
you've tried. What are we supposed to do to help you when you don't give us
information?

I couldnt give that info because this is a friends computer that i changed
the board on and of course it isnt in front of me. Im sure im not the only
one with this type of problem and i thought someone may have had an answer up
front. The only thing hes tried is turning down hardware acceleration and
updated drivers.

Thanks

OK - now that's cleared up...

Update DirectX to the latest version. There are different versions of DX9.c

Are you using a sound card and sound on the MB? If so, disable sound on one
of them.
Does it happen all the time or just using a game for instance? If it's
during a game visit the game's website for updates.
It may seem weird, but also update video drivers.

I'm sorry to say that none of this helps. And it's not just WMP. Real player

The problem is that there are so MANY possible causes of that sort of
problem that one would have to write a textbook to cover all the
possibilities from what little info you have provided.
