Audio skipping - dumb question

Ib

When I save my project to AVI, some of the audio tracks skip or stutter.
According to the PapaJohn website there is a work-around:

"To fix this, I published just the music portion of my movie at the
"high quality audio" rate, then imported it into the timeline and and
dropped it into the original movie. Worked beautifully."

Dumb question maybe, but how do I publish just the music portion of my
project? Or do I have to delete the video so there is only music?

Hi there,

To do that drag the whole video clip down onto the Audio section of the
time line. Put nothing on the video section of the time line. Go through
the save movie file procedure and what you end up with is a WMA file
(Windows Media - Audio)

There is actually another way provided your sound controls will allow it.
You use your Windows Audio Recorder to record from the "What You Hear"
option instead of from CD or whatever. It means more software running of
course and if that's an issue you might not want to do it that way. But if
you want to watch the video in Movie Maker as your sound recorder does its
thing, then that's the way to go. It means you can stop the audio recording
at intermediate places if there is a need for that.
