audio doesn't work after XP reinsatllation

I had to reinstall XP after a crash (no other fixes worked). Everything is back to normal but I no longer have any audio.

Device manager indicates Sound Blaster 16 or AWE32 or compatible device" Yellow circle with exclamation mark
Device manager also indicates Multimedia audio controller with bold yellow question mark

Control panel - sounds and audio devices - hardware for this device indicates "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12

Control panel - sounds and audio devices - volume for this device indicates "No audio device

I would greatly appreciate some help in resolving this issue
Have a great one, all.

Cross Fingers
First try a reinstall using your Sound Card install disk
or downloaded drivers right at the Device manager, where
you click on the one in yellow, right click on it and
select "reinstall" from CD or the location of your
Download. Reboot for each reinstall. Then recheck at
Device Manager still Yellow?
I would say a reinstall of your sound card drivers.Do an
uninstall the same place you did the reinstall in Device
Manager. Go to Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel
Uninstall your Audio Drivers Multimedia. Reboot ,
hopefully you have sound card install disk Reinstall with
this and if you don't have the disk go to Manufactor site
and get the Drivers.
