Can someone please help me, I accidently deleted something off my computer
and now it won't play any audio at all - no music, movies or anything. In the
Sounds, speech and audio device properties of the control panel that there is
no audio device detected. Can anyone tell me how to get this back? do i have

You apparently deleted the sound drivers. You need to reinstall them, not
the entire operating system (Windows). Get them from:

1. The device mftr.'s website; OR
2. The motherboard mftr.'s website if hardware is onboard; OR
3. The OEM's website for your specific machine if you have an OEM computer
(HP, Dell, Sony, etc.).

Read the installation instructions on the website where you get the drivers.

To find out what hardware is in your computer:

1. Read any documentation you got when you bought the computer.
2. If the computer is OEM, go to the OEM's website for your specific model
machine and look at the specs (you'll be there to get the drivers anyway)
3. Download, install and run a free system inventory program like Belarc
Advisor. The older Aida32 is good for this, too.

I don't know what "it" is that "it says", but you should be backing up your
data on a regular basis anyway. Hard drives are mechanical objects and can
fail. So think about what would happen if you lost all your documents,
pictures, music, etc. and what you would want to save. Then burn those
files to cd/dvd-r.

Normally simply installing sound card drivers would not cause you to lose
data. But I can't see your computer from here and it is better for you to
be prepared by backing up.

The 2 steps I mentioned do not require backing up data. You might be
neglecting to tell us some additional information about your situation. If
other errors or system messages are appearing, you should post those for us
to see.
