Audio Delay

Hoping one of you can help - I am using Moviemaker v2, and am trying to
convert a .avi file and save it using save to my computer. When I play the
file in moviemaker, everything is fine, but when I try to play the saved
file, the audio is laggged. Its okay for the first few mins, but if I skip
forwards, then its off. By the end, its about 10 seconds wrong.

Any ideas?

BTW - I have a Dell 8400 with 1GB RAM, plenty of hard disk.
