Audio CD Playback

Ok here's what happened.........I put an audio cd in to my drive (I
intentionally have autoplay for ausio cd's disabled) open my computer,
double clicked the drive the cd was in to play the cd fully expecting it to
open with windows media player, but it opens with itunes instead. So I open
folder options from control panel go to the file types tab and select the
audio cd playback listing as it's the one pointing to itunes (there's also a
listing for just audiocd) I changed the app it was pointing to to windows
media player, changed the icon and ok'd my way out. Now when I double click
on the drive containing my cd, it open with windows media player, but I get
an error message that says: "Windows Media Player cannot find the specified
file. Be sure the path is typed correctly. If it is, the file does not exist
at the specified location, or the computer where the file is stored is
offline." with WMP listing Just the drive letter in the playlist instead of
the songs. Any suggestions how to fix this? Please no system restore
suggestions as I don't use it. TIA

REvisit the EDIT file type dialog in Windows Explorer, and write down
what's in the DDE fields. Then UNcheck the "use DDE" box and click on OK.
Try auto play again.

Didn't work dev...When I went back in to restore the use DDE option, I found
it automatically re-selected.....I think I may be missing a switch in the
line where the application is listed. it reads as follows: "C:\Program
Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" %1 .....the other lines that have
info are action = &Play, use DDE is checked, the application listing in the
DDE section says wmplayer and the topic says system. Any other ideas?

I show the following - for CDA files...

"C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe" /Open "%L"

Yes, that's an L, not a 1.
