audio cd cannot be hear

i have inserted an audio cd. windows media player cannot
play that one. then i replace the cd with anotherone
which is also an audio cd that is played by windows media
player. please tell me that why the first one is not
played and wht to do for make it play.

It could be the first cd has features built into it that
prevent it from running. I've had a CD single that won't
play and have had to open the contents via My Computer and
click on run - this cd has had a video of the single as
well. Other straight forward cd's play without
intervention from me.

So I'd suggest opening it up to see the folders find out
which one plays the music and if you right click on that
folder you can select "open with" specify WMP and if check
box "always do the same action is avilable" check that
might solve the problem

Some new CD's will not play on a PC. They're "locked" to prevent ripping.

try it on a hifi.
