Attempting to accept meeting fails (Function cannot be preformed)

We are useing Outlook/Exchange 2003. Client boxes are XP SP2.

We have a situation where one user is unable to accept a meeting request
from another user. This appears to be localized to these two distinct users
but not 100% sure. What happens is when the requested user attempts to
accept the meeting request an error occurs. The error message is “Function
cannot be preformed because the message has been changed.†Others attendees
have not problem in accepting the meeting request. I’m at a loss as to what
could be causing this issue.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Terry

Out of curiousity, is one of the users a delegate for the other?

Sorry about being slow in getting back on this. No users are not delegates.
What even more strange is that after some time if the user tries to accept
the same meeting it works. Very strange. Thanks for your response.
