Attachments not received

I've just discovered that e-mail attachments I send
aren't being received.

I've tried sending Word, Text & JPEG attachments to
different recipients - none are received, no paperclip
symbol - nothing! It's as if the attachment & all
reference to it has been stripped at some point between
sending & receiving, even though I get a copy, attachment
included, in my Sent Items folder.

I've also tried sending & receiving attachments from
Outlook Express & this works fine.

I've disabled my anti-virus software from checking
outgoing mail, but that makes no difference. I've scanned
all of my PC with Norton AV & no viruses found. I'm not
using a firewall at present!

I've checked all of the menu options I could find through
the Control Panel - 'Internet Options' & 'Mail', but
couldn't see anything that might be associated with this
problem.

I've also edited the Registry as as described in KB290497
to no avail.

Help please!

The statement "OE can send fine" is revealing. Change your email format to
Plain Text (preferred) or HTML and see if that makes a difference!

Thanks Rifleman - this does make a difference - the
problem only exists when I send a message in HTML format -
recipients receive my attachments OK when the message is
sent in Plain Text or RTF.

So the question is - 'Why?'. I can find no mention of
HTML messages prohibiting the reception of attachments.
Can anyone please explain why this is so?

that's interesting - it's usually RTF that mucks things up, not HTML.
