attachments goes to microsoft office outlook instead of windows ma

when sending photos ie from windows photo gallery, right click on the photo
and select my re-size then send via email etc. it opens up microsoft office
outlook to send the email by. this is no good for me as i use windows mail.
how can i do it so it sends instead by windows mail. my settings show
windows mail is the deault mail so can't work out why it does this. also if
i'm in windows mail and i click send attachment then find the picture it
doesn't re-size it. any ideas of solutions. just want to send smaller size
photos via windows mail but system just won't let me.

Just because an email program is designated as 'default'
does not mean that all possible default protocols have been
assigned to it. To ensure the latter, do this:

Open the Default Programs applet, which you can access either from
the Start menu or via the Control Panel, then click the first item:
"Set your default programs."
After a few seconds, a list of programs comes up. Click on Windows
Mail. If it doesn't respond with "This program has all its defaults"
then fix it by clicking on the option indicated by the first green arrow.
