Attach an old email to new email when using Word 2003 email editor

I'm running XP Pro with Outlook 2003, using Word 2003 as my e-mail editor.

No, I'm not trying to forward a copy of an old message to someone. I am
trying to create a new message with several attachments, one of which is a
prior e-mail message currently stored in my archive .pst. The problem is I
can't figure out how to do this when using Word 2003 as my e-mail editor, and
I've been unsuccessful in locating any help topic on how to perform this
specific function when Word 2003 is the e-mail editor.

Sure, I could turn off the Word 2003 e-mail editor, open a new message and
use the item option from the insert menu, but why should I have to turn off
the Word 2003 e-mail editor that I've grown fond of? Isn't there some way to
perform this same function while still using Word 2003 as my e-mail editor?

In the New Message window next to the send button click the down arrow next
to the attach icon (clip). You will be able to find the Item option to need
there.

Thank you, AM. I had hidden that item from my toolbar since I truly prefer
to use keyboard shortcuts.
