attach a picture:compress

When I highlight pictures (from my pictures folder) and
then click on "e-mail the selected items" there is no
dialog box that asks me about compression (as stated in
this article:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotograph
y/getstarted/young_03august11.mspx

instead, the pictures are attached, as is, to an e-mail.
where did this option go? how do i reinstall it if it has
been removed. I have already tried to reinstall
the "message queing" option in the add/remove components,
but that has no change. please e-mail me a response.
Thanks
Jody

What is your default email program? If not Outlook Express, include the
version information for that email program. Also, what version/SP of XP
are you using?

Do you get the compression dialogue if you right-click and select the Send
To/Mail Recipient option?
