ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 8X AGP-DVD Player

Just got an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro 8X AGP video card. When I
play a DVD using the ATI DVD player, the sound is garbled
and muffled.

I tried everything to no avail. Emailed ATI for help but
their suggestions did not work.

I am guessing there is a sound setting I am missing.

System specs:
Gateway Performance 800
Creative Labs-Soundblaster live! Value-sound card
Windows XP
384 Ram

I really wasn't very happy with the ATI player. On my system, even Media
Player 9 does a better job than that program. Sorry.

PS: If you haven't checked out the ATI site for driver and software updates
since getting your card, do so.
