ATI Mobility FireGL 5250

Hi,

I hope someone can help me, or maybe you have a solution to this problem.

After upgrading from XP SP2 (Clean install) to Windows Vista Businesse I
receive an error evry time I boot in to Vista, and sometimes during operation.

It tels me someting like this: "R300 Dsiplaydriver problems, the driver
stoped working and has been started again".

I have tried using the FireGL 5200 WDDM driver installed by Windows, and I
have downloaded a ATI Catalyst driver that Lenovo have made avalible. Same
problem with both. ATI Catalyst Center wont even start.

This is very anoying, hope someone have any ideas.

There is no Vista ATI FireGL 5200 driver.

Only for Xp or Linux.

Sorry I couldn't answer your question, but most ATI
drivers are still in Beta and this version has its
limitations. eg: 3D is disabled when viewed in CCC.
If you are able to try the Beta you must first uninstall all
ATI drivers before installing the beta.
I had this problem in RC1. I'm also waiting for
a Vista driver for an HIS ATI x1650Pro.
With a R300 display driver problem, could it be something
to do with the motherboard ? Have your done a search
of "R300 display driver error" ?
