I have found out that ATI does have a Video x1600, x1650 display drivers do
have a problem with both versions (32 bit, 64 bit ) Vista. The last update
(Feb 21, 2007 ) will not work. They are working on a solution as I type. The
fix will come out with
the next build of Vista. Just as it was with XP the first few weeks had seen
problems, so it will be with Vista as a new OS release. Just keep in mind
that it is not only Microsoft. it also a problem for third parties that
support Microsoft that have problems as well. I know that it is difficulty,
provocation, or annoyance with calmness. It is a time that we all be patient,
and that all will be ok.

I have an X1650 pro (512 meg of ram on it) and have been using it with both
the MS drivers and the ATI Catalyst drivers with no problems.

First off can you use "Areo"? Second have you checked to see if you can use
3D accelration? If you can do both, would you tell me what you have done to
have both ATI dispay drivers to work. So far I have not been able to get ATI
display drivers to work with each other or with MS drivers. Just a thought
did you do a full install or upgrade from Windows XP Pro.. Talking with ATI
they tell me the above has not been fixed, but if you have them working, we
sure would like to know what you have done during your installation. We are
asking for any or all information. Thank You.
