ATI 9800 pro problems

Hello, I just did a fresh install of winXP pro. I used the latest ATI
drivers. I installed the newest direct x. I have a 450 Enermax power
supply. I am using a Asus A7V8X mobo, with a Barton 2500 cpu. I also
installed the newest Via drivers.

My problem is the pc locks up when I play games. Totally freezes. I was
wondering ion bios do I need AGP performance control on or off ? AGP fast
write control on or off ? Video memory cache mode is it USWC or UC ?

I also checked the temp and it was good, any idea as to what I can do to
make this pc work good with games ? Thanks in advance.

check your memory settings....I had the same problem. I had it set on CAS
2.5 and had to change it to 3.
