ATI 9800 pro OEM $150

I think with shipping it came to about $150.00 for an ATI 9800 PRO I
just bought from Dell! I *think* that was a good price and just
thought some of you might want to know. I figure Dell will warranty
(OEM) so I'm ok if it blows up.

The dell radeon cards run slower than usual ones. It's why they're cheaper,
so dell can afford to make cheaper PCs.

Well, it's OEM.. so that limits the garantue thingies. But yes they
should replace it if it goes boom!

It should run fine, there is not much dell can **** up on an ati 9800
pro card. Oh, probably you can only install Dell Drivers because they
****ed up with the DeviceID. They are known for doing that..and their
update roll is very slow.

So keep an eye on http://www.omegacorner.com , he tweaks drivers for
quality..and also adds the strings so they install on "tagged" cards.

Oh yea Positive! I'm rockin with it right now. I do want to remind you
that it is OEM, no fancy box etc.

Bit more than than. Lots use modified mother boards etc.
At 9800SE is about as good as a 9600 pro (or so I read), so you might need
to compare head to head.
P.S. Not saying it isn't a full card.

Ok! All the benchmark/sysinfo tools I got say it's a " 128mb DDR ATI
Radeon 9800 Pro". It "looks" just like all the pictures I see on the
internet. When I bought it from Dell, I specifically asked one. I'm
not sure what else I can say? Even so, $150 inc shipping from Dell. If
you are looking for one and think it's a good price, call Dell and ask
em .... That's ALL I was trying to say to the group in case anyone was
interested.
