Athlon 64 Newcastle/Winchester - what's the difference?

So, apart from the Winchester being 90nM and the Newcastle 130nM, what
difference is there, and is there any performance increase? Is there any
real gain in going for the Winchester?

They are identical, other than power requirements. The Winchester cores use
less power. As far as building goes, there is no difference at all. If
your power supply is adequate, it should handle either processor. -Dave

Lower temps on Winchester, better overclocking potential?
