AT systems hang during shutdown with XP Pro

W

Wesley

I have done a clean install of XP Pro on two different AT
computers with the same result: AT systems hang during
shutdown with XP Pro.

Everything works fine until I turn off the compute. The
program goes through the usual shutdown procedure but
stops at the window stating the computer is saving the
data and never gets to the screen stating it's safe to
turn the machine off.

After the HDD stops I can turn the machine off with the
main panel button and cold boot the compuer without any
error messages.

I have followed all the suggestions in the MS database
and troubleshooting without any change.

Has anyone else experienced this? What is the solution?
