ASUS P2B98-XV bios chip help

need to replace Hewlitt Packard Pheonix bios with ASUS factory bios, on an
ASUS board. installed in an HP8380 any suggestions. have wiped hard drive
clean, will not load new operating system. do not have recovery discs from
HP. Help!! I continue to get a E: prompt after numerous attempts. i believe
the bios chip is culprit.
