I have my system set up on a Raid motherboard with 2 - 120 GIG hard drive
stripped together. I am getting these errors.
SVCHOST.EXE - Application error & NDETECT.EXE
The instruction at "0x70971bf" referenced at "0x007d84d0". The memory could
not be "written".
Explorer.exe - Entry point not found
The procedure entry point AssocGetPerceivedType could not be located in the
dynamic link library SHLWAPI.DLL.
I was going to boot to recovery console to get to the C: prompt so I can do
the following.
1> Boot to recovery Console
2> Type the following commands
cd system32 [enter]
ren winlogon.exe winlogon.old
ren msgina.dll msgina.old
ren shell32.dll shell32.old
ren shlwapi.dll shlwapi.dll
cd .. [enter]
servicepackfiles\i386 c:\windows\system32
copy MSGINA.DLL c:\windows\system32
copy SHELL32.DLL c:\windows\system32
copy WINLOGON.EXE c:\windows\system32
copy shlwapi.dll c:\windows\system32
if not there, expand from the cd
3> Type EXIT and hit enter
But I can not boot to the RAID drive in recovery console.
Does the above steps look correct for restoring my logon?
