Assigning different letter to a drive

M

Mitch

Hi,
I just wanted to know if anyone knew how to assign your
drive a different letter....say I wanted to change the C
drive to the E drive? How would I go about that. I've
done it before, and now have no clue how I did it.

Hi Mitch,

You can change drive / partition letters from the Start
Menu / Programs / Administrative Tools / Computer
Management / Disk Management Console. Simply
right click the drive and select "Change Drive Letter.."
from the drop down menu. Be careful not to change
any drives that may effect your installed software though.
