.ASP forms

Colin Cormack

Being a fairly novice user of FrontPage 2003, I am confused by what happens
when I create a form and database. I use the wizards to create a form and
database, but every time I open the asp form file I get the code of the page
displayed, not the formatted form.
Can anyone explain what I am doing wrong?

Regards,

COLIN

You must access/test the form via http on a Windows IIS web server. Will not work on a disk-based
web (c:\...) or on a Unix/Linux server.

The form and database have been published to the web server, with the same
result.
Try going to www.turfcare-leisure.co.uk then select Turfcare Roadshow.
There is a hyperlink on the word "event" which takes you to the Input.asp
form - but it displays incorrectly.

What operating system is web server running, as it must be Windows IIS. If it is running Windows,
then you need to check with your web host to see if you are allowed to run ASP and use Access.

Already checked as I also thought this might be the problem. Server is
Windows running IIS. It has ASP enabled and Access databases are permitted.

Your web host doesn't have the server configured correctly since I am being prompt to allow the asp
page to be downloaded.

1. Don't use the Optimize HTML feature when publishing
2. Your web host must allow Parent Paths.

I'm not being prompted to allow it to download. I see the page coding view.
