Are there really new security updates as of today

Jim

I have automatic download/manual install set for windows updates.

The icon, when opened, notified me of 4 items - 1 critical and
3 security fixes, but claims three are variable in size. When I go
to explorer and look for updates, it lists the same 4 updates, but 0
kb as the size. When my daughter had her browser hijacked by some
spyware, this was also what windows update via explorer was claiming
for a file size although it also had some strange update #s.

Could it be because they are already automatically downloaded, that
when I got the update site manually it recongnizes this and says the
download size is 0kb?

Not wanting to download anything I shouldn't. These are the
reference #s (same on the web page and when I open the update icon)

885835
885836
873339
886185

Are they valid?

TIA
Jim

Hello, Downloaded the four items you listed yesterday, just checked the
numbers they correspond to what is listed on this unit.
Do not know about the "0" kb size.
You can find the uninstall package for each item in the Windows tree, they
will be listed by number ( $NTUNINSTALLKB886185$) etc..
Take Care.
