Are ATA-6 drives considered IDE?

I am looking at a storage device called Hyperdrive, which is a housing into
which is placed any IDE notebook drive. On Newegg, the term IDE is not used
in regards to Fujitsu notebook drives.

I would like to know if the ATA-6 drives qualify to be used in the
Hyperdrive as IDE drives.

Yes, ATA-6 is IDE, BUT whether that unit supports it is another matter.
Ask them.
