I have the following issue:
no matter wich program I use every time a program tries to access
the internet it 'crashes' i get the following error: "'Any Program' has
encountered a problem and needs to close". I thought it was some error
of the IE but I also tried firefox and i get the same error. I do get
to see my main page on both explorers but just 2-3 secs after load it
crashes
i thought it was some sort of adware/malware so I decided to run
spybot search & destroy and Windows defender. First of all i wasn't
able to get the update definitions to windows defender, and when i
tried w/ spybot and i chosed Update, it connects and downloads some
info but just 2-3 secs after that i get the error "Spybot Search &
Destroy has encountered a problem and needs to close" and the program
crashes.
the same happens w/ Msn Messenger or any other program that needs to
use the internet.
i opened a cmd prompt and did some traces and those work just fine,
the applications are the only ones that are not working.
This computer was working 'just fine' last week, i moved to a new
place and changed ISP, but i don't think that is the problem.
So far i've managed to run some programs by reinstalling them, is
there any other way to make things work w/o reinstalling???
Please advice,
