"something" happened, and my old veritas 8.5 backup exec for win 2k won't
run.

I've tried several times to uninstall, reinstall, etc., and still no go.

Reason I'm posting here is that I get an error msg that says, "Application
system service not responding" and I haven't a clue if that's part of
veritas or something with win2k.

Help! I can't do backups anymore. :-(

I would uninstall BackupExec, then re-install it. If this does
not fix the problem then you could always use ntbackup.exe
to backup your files. It's a lot harder to use but it certainly
works!

problem is, I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, and get the same thing.

I've even made sure the veritas folder is blown away.

I have many backups with veritas, know how it works, and so on. Really want
to get it back working.

Do you know of any support groups for the 8.x versions? Seems all Veritas
has these days is server stuff.

Thanks.
