application error w/windows 2000

I work at a help desk, and I have a user who gets memory reference
errors when she opens any spreadsheet in a particular folder, but only
with the files in that folder. I also get the same error with excel
97/win2000, but if I open the files on a pc with excel97/win98, they
open without any problems.

The exact error is:

excel.exe application error
The instruction at "0x30470f4c" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The
memory could not be "read".


Any thoughts?

I opened the file in excelXP/win2000 and it gave me an error, but exce
was able to recover the file. I had it show me the errors and it sai
"Lost Visual Basic Project" and "Lost Activex Controls"

Does that help at all
