Here's my issues:
I am trying to setup my Advanced APM Power Support so I
can turn my PC off normally.
Right now, all it does when I shut down is hang and
alway's requires shut down by the power off button.
I've been getting around this problem for the time being
by restarting my PC (vs shutting down), and as soon as the
PC reboots, I press the power off button before it can do
a full reboot. I don't think this is a good thing to do
to your PC.

I have the Tazer II - Tyan S1854 Via 133A 4X with
Intergrated Components (Millennia MAX GS) - Part Number:
MDB001125-03 Motherboard
The TYAN Corporation website:

with an Intel Pentium PIII 733MHz 133 FSB (PIII 733)
Coppermine Processer. I am using the XP Pro operating
system with 512 MB of RAM via MicronPC.

Currently my XP setup doesn't contain the APM advanced
support settings to set my PC to shut off because of the
outdated BIOS motherboard configuration settings of my
MICRON PC.
Below are the items I would appreciate assistance with:
1) Confirmation that the driver and firmware I found at
the TYAN website are the correct updates to download for
XP (see the specifications reference paragraph above
surrounded by asterisks).
2) What firmware/driver downloads will be necessary (are
they necessary?) to install to achieve both the automatic
shut down and APM Advanced Support setups.
3) If necessary, step by step instructions to install them
properly. Because I'm working with the motherboard and
it's BIOS, I don't want to go there until I know for sure
what the heck I'm doing, the exact steps needed, and what
really needs to be performed to achieve the desired
outcome.
I appreciate any contributions...
