AOL incompatibility?

I use IE 6.0 via my ISP's DSL service. My wife uses AOL
through the same DSL. Yesterday I upgraded AOL to version
9.0. I then discovered that selected URL's were coming up
as "Not Found," including any attempt to get on eBay, even
though AOL wasn't even running. Then discovered that all
of those pages appear normally if I start AOL and log on
to it, even if the access isn't via AOL. Same thing
happens with Netscape.

Anyone have any idea what the AOL upgrade could have done
to my non-AOL browing ability, and how to fix it? I know
that AOL browsing actually uses IE, but even if the
upgrade fiddled around with IE, how does it happen that
Netscape was also affected?

Note:

- Latest IE and XP patches are installed, and Java is up
to date as well.

- Trying to get an answer out of AOL is like getting blood
from a stone. No way even to contact them anymore.

Thanks very much.

I am having the same problem. I downloaded 9.0 and now I
keep getting script error, trouble logging onto aol. I
spoke to aol who informed me to uninstall 9.0 and go back
to 8.0. I am also having trouble with logging onto
hotmail. Inow have to gain access thru internet exployer.
I have tried to repair ie without success. Aol too is
taking their time with getting back to me. I have windows
xp. Should you get some answers email me please. thx
