Anyway to uninstall or reinstall a program

I have a cannon zoombrowser program that has quit working.

I tried to uninstall it but get an errors saying the file is missing or
corrupt.

When I try and reinstall it , it said the program is already installed.

Anyway to edit a file so I can trick the PC into not thinking the program is
already installed?

One trick: Rename the folder that the program is stored under. Then try to
reinstall. Some installers check for the existance of a folder, or a file
in the folder, to see if the program is installed.

If the re-install works, delete the renamed folder.

No luck,,,,,,, any more suggestions?
