I have been trying to install NAV 2004, McAfee Antivirus and PANDA Antivirus in my computer and every time I try to use the programs they shut down. I am never been able to use them. Is there some kind of problem between WINDOWS XP and the programs or this can be a Virus doing. I would apreciate any kind of help. Thanks

If you are installing all of them, there is probably a conflict between them
and none will run. I would suggest making a choice between them and
installing only one. Update it regularly.

You should only have one installed at a time and you must uninstall any
previous ones before installing another one.

1. Use one or more of these free online scans to make certain you're not
already infected:

http://snurl.com/g14 (NAV)
http://www.kaspersky.com/remoteviruschk.html (Kaspersky)
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ (TrendMicro)

2. Check your system for "hijackware". Many Trojans will disable and/or
deny the install of an anti-virus application.

You *must* seek updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, etc., before each and every
use, even "right out of the box". But even then, they can't catch
everything. When all else fails, HijackThis
(http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
your files to http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or the Spyware forum at
http://forum.aumha.org/ for expert analysis, not here.**

Also update your virus definitions and then run a full system scan. From
now on, do both daily.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?

<LOL> But hey, less trouble and he could confirm if these errors were
caused by nasty-ware. Evidently, he is invested, to have tried installing
SO many of them. <w>

I've been dealing with an OE5-in-Win98 poster for over a week (OE won't
start). Tonight he reveals that he's been using NAV-for-Mac since 1999 and
his subcription is current. <mutter>
